This Topbox was packaged in their eco-friendly tube and it was said on their Facebook page that some packages would be to help celebrate Earth Day! I've chosen this option before in past Topboxes so I knew what the packaging looked like. I like it but then again, I'm a huge fan of kraft or cardboard paper LOL!
This product is said to be sold exclusively at Target Canada which unfortunately I haven't been able to check since my local Target stores have not opened yet. However, this was the product that was full size and is valued at $12! Score!! It has a very strong shea butter/coconut scent to it so if you don't enjoy that scent you might not like this product. It has already been added on my must-see list when my Target opens!
Elizabeth Arden All Gone Eye and Lip Makeup Remover: $24 (100ml)
I was surprised yet not to have received this makeup remover. It was one of the products featured in the EA Privé Box and it didn't catch my eye so I was kinda hmm when I saw it. However, I wear makeup daily. Receiving this remover isn't such a bad idea really! I have collected quite a few though in the last 1.5 yrs so another one wasn't really needed but I will definitely give it a try when I've run out of my other samples! It is a remover that contains oil as it has the duo-consistency to it. I suspect it'll perform like my Lancome Bi-Facil but it claims to remove waterproof makeup so I will definitely put it to the test when I can!
KMS California FREESHAPE Quick Blow Dry: $18.75 (200ml)
I have been using this product almost religiously since I received it to test out its effectiveness and to see if it lives up to its claim of reducing drying time by 50%. I will say, it definitely has helped in drying my hair fast! I tested dry time with and without any protectant and most definitely, this protectant does work. Would I buy it? I currently use the Schwarzkopf Got2B leave-in protectant for drying my hair and it works very similarly without the high price tag. It's on my may-buy list LOL!
Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Scrub: $18 (100ml)
I've used charcoal masks in the past and loved them so when I saw this, I was definitely interested in giving it a go! I've heard many great reviews on their products so while my interest is piqued, I still have my Clarins scrub that I'm trying to get through before opening this one! I tend to have the bad habit of opening new products and forgetting about the ones already IN USE. SIGH...So the only reason I haven't tried this is solely for that reason but when I do, I will post a update on it should it yield very positive results!
So that is my April 2013 Topbox. It was a very good box in my opinion! The full size hand cream definitely made it great I will not lie LOL! The scent is kinda strong but maybe for the upcoming winter (I can't believe I'm talking about winter again already! We just got out of it! Ugh..) it'll be a good time to try it. It is rather thick so I have high hopes it'll work well for me then! I definitely have no regrets for choosing the regular Topbox this month, I hope May 2013 is a good one as well! I chose the February regular Topbox which I know, sounds bizarre but the idea of a Deborah Lippmann polish in it is worth it to me! Nail polish junkies would understand this reasoning LOL...
Until next month!
Angie :D
