From what I've seen and heard, SeasonsBox is a monthly subscription services that provides 3-5 full sized products that are eco-friendly or created with natural ingredients. It's Canadian based but provides this service to US and Canadian residents thus far. The price is $29.99 + shipping which equals to $34.90 a month. Yes, it's on the higher end of monthly subscription services out there but these are quality products and are full size! You have the option to skip a month if the boxes don't quite attract your attention because they do showcase what the contents are in the upcoming month's box. I like that option...I can still have some control over what boxes I choose. The best part, you can purchase the month's products and products that were showcased in past boxes on their site! I believe it's a new feature they've addd to their site. I like that, seeing as it may be difficult to purchase these products should you fall in love with them and want to stock up right? Good stuff! Now onto the box itself!
I signed up on March 22 and literally received my box on the 27th? Amazeballs! Right away, I was impressed with the efficiency in processing my order. It arrived by Fedex which was surprising! I have had great service with Fedex on a personal level, seeing that our own companies receive packages often with all of the popular shipping companies out there. The one thing i love is tracking on my boxes. Topbox uses Canada Post, SeasonsBox happens to use Fedex so that was great for me!
Contents of this month's box was awesome! I will insert the descriptions for their website for further clarification...The umbrella was sturdy and made with quality craftsmanship from what I can see. It hasn't been raining so I can't test its effectiveness at keeping the rain out but when I do, I will update with results.
The tea was safely packaged and inside was a packet of loose leaf green tea. I am a tea lover and was surprised at how light this tea was! I'm asian, I guess I'm accustomed to much heavier flavoured green tea because this was light in flavour so if you're just starting out with drinking more tea, this is a fantastic product to try out! For me though, it was really light...I still loved it though and will continue to drink it!
The incense cones from Vance Kitira were soo yummy in scent! I happened to receive Ocean which is a pretty typical scent in my opinion. It has a slight floral scent, slightly herbal, a very fresh scent. I used one already and oh my, it was sooo strong in scenting up my house - literally! Don't be fooled by these small cones, they are strong! Another tip: place the little dish that comes with the cones on something heat resistant. I noticed that tiny dish got exceptionally hot!
Last but not least, the beautiful green soap from All Things Herbal. I have not used this soap yet but by scent alone, it has a strong peppermint scent! Very nice, I can see myself using this in the mornings as a way to wake me up LOL! It is quite a substantial size of soap so I think like the LUSH soaps, you can cut off a chunk and use it a little at a time.
So that's my review on the March 2013 SeasonsBox! I for one am really happy with this box. I love supporting fellow Canadian companies like Topbox and SeasonsBox! I can't wait to see what the following boxes are from both companies! :D
